Overview

This Heritage Farm house is an idyllic Kerala Tharavadu, located in the countryside at Keekozhoor, Ranny, in Pathanamthitta district, amidst lush greeneries( certified Organic Farm) with various types of plants like spices including Ginger, Turmeric, Pepper, Cinnamon Coconut trees, Arecanut trees, Jackfruit trees, Tamarind trees, Papaya trees, Banana, Tapioca, Elephant foot Yarm, Colocasia, Cashew plants and various types of fruits, vegetables, medicinal herbs etc.
The visitors who enjoy proximity to soil and like to participate in the agriculture are welcome to part take and understand the traditional Kerala Agriculture.
This Homestay, fully airconditioned, is having Diamond Classification, from the Kerala Tourism department, and is designed to simply harmonize with the surrounding nature to the fullest extent.
With chirping birds around, breeze, and serene ambience, this farmhouse is a perfect get away from the busy cities, and stressful jobs, to the lap of mother nature.

Activities

Most ideal abode for trekking by foot, cycle, two wheelers or 4 wheelers looking for off road adventure.

River Pampa, the Ganges of Kerala, is around a kilometer away, where swimming, fishing are possible and riverside volley ball and foot ball are played in summer.

Perumthenaruvi, the water falls is around 4 kilometers, The Ranny Forest and beautiful Gavi, the tourist spot, located within the forest offer unbelievable experience to every visitor.

There are several mini hydroelectric projects in the course of River Pampa, several are owned by celebrities including Amitabh Bachan.

The government controlled adventurous Tourism, of rafting (on Kottavanchi, also known as Coracle or Bowl boat made from Bamboo) in rock packed Kallar river, at Konni, will offer long-lasting memories. The Elephant sanctuary and baby elephants around will fill the mind with joy and fun. (Konni is at a distance of 20 km from this homestay)

The butterfly park located at Punalur, and the British construction of the railway bridge and first hanging bridge of Kerala will be worth exploring. (distance of 50 km).

Alleppey House boats are very famous across the globe and the accessibility from this farm house also is possible either by road or via river Pampa.

Tourist destinations like Aranmula, famous for snake boat race, Aranmula mirror and vallasadya are located nearby, within 12 km. A boat ride in Pampa River will be a thrilling experience.

Religious destinations like Sabarimala temple, is 63 km from the homestay.

The famous Pandalam temple is 24 km distance from homstay.

Maramon convention venue,held on sand banks of river Pampa is 9 km from this homestay .

I had the pleasure of staying at Thomaskutty’s Farmhouse Homestay for a day, and it was truly a memorable experience. This homestay offers a perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace, comfort, and an authentic Kerala experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I particularly loved the traditional Kerala-style ambiance and the serene surroundings. The farm setting was a delight! Waking up to the sounds of birds, enjoying fresh farm produce, and taking a stroll through the fields was refreshing. The food was another highlight—fresh, homemade, and delicious! If you’re looking for a place to unwind and reconnect with nature, this Farmhouse Homestay is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

5 A Satisfying Experience

This place is a very comfortable stay if you are looking for a quiet, green place to live with the nature at the same time having all modern facilities and comforts. Ideal for the IT crowd for staycations. The WiFi facility is quite good. Walking around the 6 plus acre premises itself is an exercise without you really realising it. We had a fantastic time.

We spend a truly memorable few days at this beautiful farmhouse. Children were particularly thrilled to feed the animals and eat fruits freshly plucked from the trees. The proximity to the pamba river was a blessing, the whole family enjoyed splashing about and swimming in the river. The house as such was very well done, old "tharavadu" style house with all the necessary amenities and spotlessly clean rooms. Delicious Kerala food was served modified according to spice preferences. Overall completely enjoyed the stay at the lap of nature away from the hustle and bustle of our city life.

Wonderful farmhouse stay! The place is peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and we really enjoyed picking fresh fruits from the trees and going on walks. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A perfect spot to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommended!
