Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur

A visit to God's Own Country by a prominent personality, belonging to the regality of the State of Rajasthan is a special occasion indeed for Kerala. Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur is no stranger to the formidable forts, palaces and the sun baked dunes of the Tahr Desert. But in God's Own Country he had so many things to familiarize and appreciate.

Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar who visited Kerala as special invitee to attend the India International Boat Show (IIBS) 2005 shared his thoughts on Kerala with Kerala Tourism during this visit. "It has been quite a long time since I was here" said Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar, as he began to recollect his memories of Kerala during his previous visits. He was impressed by the manner in which IIBS was conducted and expressed his delight in going through an array of equipment displayed by local and international sellers; all under one roof.

Switching the discussion to Kerala as an emerging premium tourist destination in the country, Sriji Arvind Sing Mewar lauded the timely efforts of Kerala Tourism in improving the services and products in the tourism sector of Kerala, in a systematic and sensible manner. With Kochi and other centres turning out as big centres for tourism, and attractions like Ayurveda, backwaters etc. getting their due attention from tourists, Kerala is moving on the right track, Sriji feels. This, Sriji attributes to the enterprising group of people, the level of commitment, and professionalism that exist today in the tourism sector of Kerala.

Concluding the discussion, Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar mentioned the due importance given by Kerala to the practice of tourism by going back to Nature, and said that it is going to be a smooth sail for Kerala Tourism in the days to come.
