The Jaw-Dropping Meenmutty Waterfalls

Are you a Nature enthusiast who enjoys seeing waterfalls in the midst of verdant forests? Well, here is a waterfall in the Thiruvananthapuram district that will offer you a mesmerizing view of the cascade flowing down from the forest. Located about 45 km from the city, the waterfall in the Kallar village near Ponmudi hills offers a glimpse of natural grandeur, surrounded by the Western Ghats. The waterfall is located in the upper riparian course of the Vamanapuram, and getting there requires a walk through a relatively thick forest. 

The journey to the location itself is a delight since it is surrounded by massive trees with looping branches and sinuous roots. The green canopy is absolutely fascinating. The stream keeps you company for the majority of the trail, and there are many entry spots to the waterbody where you may take a dip. But be careful as the rocks are quite slippery. One might see several varieties of butterflies and unique wildlife on the route to the waterfall.
