An Exhilarating Jeep Safari

The bumpy trails of Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary – the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala – are best enjoyed on a thrill-evoking jeep safari. The two-hour expedition through the lush jungle in the company of an expert guide and driver will give you the best and safest opportunity to cherish the spectacles of the wild, up-close like never before.

The therapeutic tranquillity of the jungle will take you away from the hustle-bustle of mundane life, and give you adrenaline-powered euphoria. If you are lucky, you will spot one of the big cats – the top predator in these forests.

Throughout the safari, you will experience the soothing serenity of the wilderness which is only occasionally disturbed by the rumble of herds of elephants or gaurs, frequently spotted on the trail. Riding through the opulent jungle trail, with the fresh forest air caressing your face, and keeping an eye open to spot a wild tiger will certainly be an unforgettable adventure for you.

Timings and Tariff of Jeep Safari in Wayanad
The forest department has arranged safaris in the morning (7 AM-10 AM) and evening (3 PM-5 PM) when animal activity in the tourism zone of the sanctuary is relatively high. Those who are planning to go on the safari are required to hire the vehicles from the entrance of the sanctuary. It is important to note that only a limited number of vehicles are allowed entry into the sanctuary (40 in the morning and 20 in the evening). For more details, click here
