Muzirs Paddle 2020 - Kayaking through the channels of history
Muziris Backwater Paddle – An exciting two day Kayaking expedition through the historic spice route of Kerala. The event is organized by Jellyfish water sports in partnership with the Muziris Heritage Project to appreciate the pristine beauty of our backwaters and the need to preserve them. The expedition is scheduled on 4, 5 January 2020 and will be flagged off from Kotturpuram Jetty in Kodungalloor district and end at Bolgatty Island in Kochi.
This riveting expedition targets all range of participants, including domestic and international tourists, from expert kayakers to beginners, even non swimmers, as all the participants will be trained by expert kayakers and river guides.
Participants will paddle through a 40 km course that starts at Muziris. The path covers the historic spice route which includes numerous monuments that holds about 3000 years of history.
‘Paddle to Preserve’, the motto of the program suggests the compelling need to strengthen the bond between men and nature. The activity also aims at cleaning the water body as they paddle along.
The package includes Kayak rental, lifeguard support, camping gears, expert guidance, night camping, team activities and authentic Kerala delicacies and refreshments.
