Handbook on Kerala Tourism
The Union Minister for Tourism, Ms. Renuka Choudhury released a handbook on Kerala Tourism brought out by a leading tourism magazine, 'Tourism India' in association with the Department of Tourism. At a function held at the Indian Pavilion of the World Tourism Mart in London the minister handed over a copy to the Union Tourism Secretary, Ms.Uma Pillai. India Tourism Development Corporation (I.T.D.C.) Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Amitabh Kant, Karnataka Tourism Secretary, Mr. C.S. Kedar, Director of Kerala Tourism, Mr. T.O. Sooraj, and Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (K.T.D.C.) Managing Director, Mr. M. N. Gunavardhanan were also present during the function. The handbook is a useful tool to domestic and international tour operators and travelers. The book gives details of hotels, resorts, Ayurvedic resorts, Ayurveda centers, and home- stays in the State. Details of Tourist information centers and a short description on Kerala are also given.
