Kerala, Sri Lankan Airlines sign MoU
The Government of Kerala has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Lankan Airlines to co-operate in the field of tourism. According to this, Kerala Tourism would offer a special bonanza for travellers coming to Kerala on Sri Lankan Airlines? flights between October 2006 and March 2007. The offer includes fine dining, shopping and therapeutic packages. Mr. B. Suman, Director, Kerala Tourism and Mr. Manoj Gunawardena, Sri Lankan World Passenger Sales Head are the signatories of the pact. The airline currently operates 31 flights a week to the state. The pact is a recognition to Sri Lankan airline that has won several accolades for outstanding service, Mr. Gunawardena said. Mr. E.K. Bharat Bhushan, Principal Secretary, Tourism; Mr. Jose Dominic, President and Mr. E.M. Najeeb, Vice-President of Kerala Travel Mart Society were present.
