Exploring the scope of Ayurveda in Kerala Tourism
Kochi, February 04: Mr.
Pradeep Madhavji, president - Travel Agents Association of India, and chairman
of travel agent 'Thomas Cook - India', urged the State of Kerala to utilise the
scope of Ayurveda in promoting tourism in a larger way. He said that it was
Ayurveda which now fetched the major share of foreign currency to Kerala
Tourism. The rejuvenation therapies of this alternative medicine, has fascinated
people from all over the world. Hence, he urged the Central Government to give
equal importance for tourism as well as information technology in the marketing
of Ayurvedic rejuvenation holiday packages.
Mr. Madhavji was announcing the
programme schedule of the fiftieth anniversary of the Travel Agents Association
of India, at a function in Kochi.
