First Oman Air flight lands in Kochi.
The first Oman Air flight landed in Kochi International Airport at Nedumbassery on August 22nd. The flight which arrived at 6:32 a.m carried 151 passengers including 58 representatives from Oman. A formal inaugural function was arranged at the Le Meridian Hotel. Minister for Tourism Prof.K.V.Thomas was the Chief Guest. The Under Secretary of the Ministry of Oman Commerce and Industries Mr.Ali Masood Al Sunaidi said that more flights were being arranged as a good number of malayalees are working in Oman. Oman Air would also support Kerala Tourism in all possible ways. The Tourism Secretary Mr.T.Balakrishnan, MLAs, Representatives of Oman Air, AirIndia and Airports were among those who attended the function.
