Prime Minister releases CD on Ayurveda.

The Prime Minister Mr. A.B. Vajpayee released the CD-ROM ?Ayurveda ? The Mantra of Niramaya? produced by the Kerala Tourism and Invis Multimedia in a glittering function at the Prime Minister?s residence on August 10th. Kerala Chief Minister Mr. A.K Antony, Tourism Minister Prof.K.V.Thomas and Industries Minister Mr. P.K.Kunhalikkutty were present at the releasing ceremony. This is the second joint venture of its kind between Invis Multimedia and the Department of Tourism, after the release of an earlier production ?Kerala ?The Green Symphony?. The aim of the CD is to focus the attention of researchers and tourists alike on Ayurveda in Kerala. The function was also attended by Mr.O.Rajagopal, Minister of State for Railways and MPs from Kerala and Tourism Director Mr.Alkesh Kumar Sharma. The CD-ROM has six sections describing the history, philosophy, pharmacology, the body mystique and rejuvenation of Ayurveda. It explains the intricacies of Ayurveda with the clever use of video clippings and pictures. Also included are murals by the famous artist Vinod Guruvayoor depicting the origins of Ayurveda. The four hour long interactive CD-ROM is in English but the French and German versions are to be released soon. The CD-ROM is expected to be in the open market by the end of September.
