Tourist Amenity Centre to be constructed at Fort Kochi

Plans are afoot to construct a Tourist Amenity Centre at Fort Kochi as part of ongoing efforts to make it a destination of international standards. The Department of Tourism aims to have a center which will have facilities such as an information center, multi-purpose hall, waiting rooms, a guest suite, a cloak room and so on. The project, the plan of which has been prepared by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) and which is proposed to be executed by the Central Public Works Department, will have an estimated cost of Rs. 4.9 million.
