The United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP) has decided to offer financial support to the Kumbalangi
tourism project taken up by the Kerala Tourism. A two - member team from the
UNDP completed its visit to the Kumbalangi village as part of the process of
approving the village tourism project.
As the first major step, a sum of
Rs. 250 million each will be allotted for development of software components
required for creating awareness among the local public at Kumbalangi and
Aranmula, the two village tourism destinations identified in the
State.
