Grand Kerala Shopping Festival
Close on the heels of the Dubai Shopping Festival, Kerala Tourism has worked out plans to commence a 46-day Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF). It will be organized at all the district headquarters of the State from December 1 this year. The website of the GKSF was launched at a function by the Minister for Tourism and Home, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in the presence of Minister for Finance, Dr. T. M. Thomas Isaac. The GKSF would promote traditional products, decorative items, handicrafts, jewellery, textiles and consumer durables among other
things. Those joining for the GKSF would get the special GKSF branding. The function was attended by Mr. T. Balakirshnan, Principal Secretary (Industries), Dr. Venu V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism, Mr. T.O. Sooraj, Director, Industries and Commerce and Mr. K.N. Sathish, Director, GKSF.
