The Blue Yonder wins the 2007 Conde Nast Traveler World Savers Awards
The Blue Yonder (TBY), a Bangalore based Indian Travel Company wins 2007 Cond? Nast Traveler -World Savers Awards for Responsible Tourism. The awards are given to hotels, tour operators, and destinations to recognize their outstanding initiatives in five areas, viz. education, health, poverty relief, cultural and environmental preservation, and wildlife conservation.
Already a recipient of 2006 First Choice Responsible Tourism Awards at the WTM, London, TBY received an honorable mention as Tour Operator and two other awards for spreading wealth amongst communities and for the initiatives taken towards environment conservation and cultural preservation.
TBY came into the travel business three years ago to provide travelers with alternative holiday experiences that would bring economic and cultural benefits to communities they visit. TBY also serves as a financial engine for Nila Foundation which works to revive and regenerate the dying river Bharatapuzha (River Nila) in Kerala
