Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) is looking forward to have yet another successful edition. For the 8th edition of GKSF commencing on December 1st 2014, Kudumbasree Mission has been entrusted with the registration process of mercantile establishments.
This time, the aim is to enroll 50,000 mercantile establishments across Kerala for the 45-day long festival, which is a unique shopping extravaganza. Unlike the previous GKSF editions, this time, there will not be any weekly draws in districts. The prizes will be restricted to scratch-and-win and mega prizes. Registration fee will be introduced for the first time.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Kudumbasree Mission (the nationally acclaimed women empowerment programme of Kerala) and GKSF has been signed in the presence of Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala and Mr. M. K. Muneer Minister for Social Welfare, Kerala.
