The second edition of MTB Kerala, an international mountain biking initiative of Kerala Tourism, hosted by Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS) will begin on 15th of February 2014.
The event to be flagged off in the hill district of Wayanad will have events held on a 5 to 8 km rough terrain circuit on the Perungoda hill slopes in Pozhuthana Panchayat in Wayanad. The event expects an international participation of around 30 and close to 180 participants from the country. Winners stand to receive cash prizes close to Rs.1 million.
The success of the previous year's event has generated a great deal of enthusiasm. The event aims to tap the potential of the adventure tourism spots in the State and highlight Kerala as the future hub for International Mountain cycling events.
