Thalassery Heritage Circuit Tourism Project to be Revived

Thalassery Heritage Circuit Tourism Project is all set to get a new lease of life. The decision to revive the long-shelved project has been taken in a high level meeting presided over by Mr. A.N. Shamseer, MLA, Thalassery.

The project which is envisaged to conserve the various heritage sites and monuments in Thalassery is proposed to be implemented in six phases. Of this, the first phase will be completed in this financial year. It has also been decided to model the conservation procedures on the methodology Kerala Tourism adopted for restoration and renovation of Arakkal Palace and Paliam Palace.

Mr. U.V. Jose, Director, Kerala Tourism, Mr. T.K. Manzoor, MD, Bekal Resorts Development Corporation Ltd (BRDC), Mr. C K Rameshan, Chairman, Thalassery Municipality, Mr. Girish Kumar, Deputy Director, Kerala Tourism, Kannur, and architect Mr. Vivek P. P., among others, spoke at the meeting.
