Work on the Travancore Heritage Project Launched
Kerala Tourism has launched work on the ?100-crore Travancore Heritage Tourism Project (THTP). The project aims to conserve the cultural wealth of the erstwhile Travancore kingdom.
Tourism Minister Mr Kadakampally Surendran said Kerala Tourism was taking a major step by presenting the heritage and legacy of the erstwhile Travancore to the world.
The THTP covers heritage structures from the Padmanabhapuram Palace to the Parthasarathy temple. The first phase will be carried out in four stages across Thiruvananthapuram district. Through this unique project, the Kerala government aims at the conservation of the region’s palaces, mansions and temples.
