Kerala voted Best Domestic Wedding Destination

Close on the heels of Kerala Tourism winning the coveted Responsible Tourism Global Award at London World Travel Market (WTM), the state has been declared the best wedding destination for the year 2022 by the leading magazine Travel + Leisure India & South Asia.

“Serene backwaters, massive palms and the perfect weather. This is one of the many reasons why Kerala has been voted the best wedding destination by you!” reported the magazine.

It further stated that Kerala, with its many architectural, culinary and nature-based offerings, coupled with its surreal beauty and picture-perfect aesthetic, has emerged as a charming destination for tying the knot.

The Tourism Minister Mr P. A. Mohamed Riyas said, “We have been making concerted efforts to project Kerala as a destination that is known not only for its enchanting natural beauty, rollicking beaches and exquisite cuisines but also as a perfect getaway for wedding events and honeymooners. The popular voting for the state as the best wedding destination in the country is an eloquent testimony to it.”

The Kerala Tourism Deputy Director-in-Charge Mr S. Sreekumar received the award at the function, which was attended by an impressive gathering that included well-known designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna and supermodel Sonalika Sahay.
