Kerala Tourism Pavilion Honoured as the Best at the World Travel Market London 2023

The Kerala Tourism pavilion was judged the best at the recently concluded World Travel Market (WTM) in London. Kerala also hogged the limelight with its unique products on display at the show. Major stakeholders in the travel and tourism industry showed keen interest in God’s Own Country. Kerala upheld its image as an all-season experiential tourism hub, attracting visitors from niche markets across continents.

“It’s really a big recognition for Kerala to win the award at one of the world's largest tourism fairs. This is one of the latest in a series of international honours which we have won in recent months,” Tourism Minister Mr P. A. Mohamed Riyas said.

“Kerala made a big impact at WTM 2023 where visitors to our stand, mostly representatives from global travel and hospitality majors, showed keen interest in our products and initiatives,” said State Tourism Secretary Mr K. Biju, who led the state’s delegation to the WTM.

Encompassing a 126 sq.m. area, the Kerala Tourism pavilion was dedicated to the theme 'The Magical Everyday,' emphasising the rich tapestry of Kerala's festive celebrations. The huge ‘Kettu Kala’ - a stupendously tall effigy of a pair of bulls - was the central attraction of the stand.

Behind the wheels for this edition are Mr Deepak Narendran and Mr Ashique Thahir, both from Kerala, accompanied by Mr Freddie Hunt, a professional racing driver and son of Mr James Hunt, the iconic 1976 F1 World Champion.

Abad Hotels & Resorts, Alhind Tours and Travels, Cosima Travel and Trade Links, Crowne Plaza Kochi, Intersight Tours and Travels, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, Pioneer Personalized Holidays, Santa Monica Tours and Travels, Spiceland Holidays, Tamara Leisure Experiences and Xandari Resorts were the prominent trade partners from Kerala to WTM 2023.
