As soon as the cases were identified, the Government of Kerala, with its strong healthcare system, took prompt action. The affected individuals are under expert care, and those at potential risk are in monitored isolation.

While the situation is contained within a specific district, the vast majority of Kerala’s tourist destinations remain unaffected. Officials of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala are working in tandem with national health experts to ensure the situation remains under control.
