At Shola Shack all you have to do is ‘nothing’. Just sit back, soak-in the wilderness and enjoy nature’s show. We have set our base, next to Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, on a few acres of Shola grassland and a patch of Shola forest on rolling hills of the Western Ghats in Wayanad. A holiday that exposes the individual to a new way of thinking, a chance to appreciate the local fauna and flora and to be part of an experiment that redefines the meaning of a community living in harmony with nature.

Beautiful place, the running stream has a soothing effect..Mr Rajesh’s knowledge on the native flora is very much appreciated as it is something rare..Its a great experience for the kids & our love for the Western ghats simply grows with all this

It is a marvellous place, you feel like sitting in the middle of all the singing birds, Rajesh explained to us a lot about the birds and plants, we had interesting jungle walks, and after that not to forget, we enjoyed the lovely meals and hospitality. We like to come again, perhaps with friends

It was amazing for words to express my experience at Shola Shack.I would put this place at the top of all other locations in India for relaxing and recovering from the injuries of mind and body. I felt that my body is slowly recovering with the help of long walks in the hills, visit to the tribal Shiva temple, cool breeze with Sun and birds…

Shola Shack bietet ein außergewöhnliches Naturerlebnis mitten im Regenwald Indiens! Die Appartments bieten einen tollen Blick in die Baumwipfel des Regenwaldes und sind somit super für alle Naturliebhaber geeignet. Wir wurden nicht müde, die Vielfalt der Vogelwelt zu beobachten, die sich hier direkt vor dem Balkon einstellt. Das Eingebettet-Sein in die Natur, die Geräusche des Waldes und die Ruhe, die man hier erfahren kann, sind die besonderen Attribute dieses Ortes. Wem das noch nicht reicht, der kann auch Wandertouren in die nähere Umgebung unternehmen, eine Safari buchen oder alte Tempel besuchen. Neben der Vollpension, die keine Wünsche offen ließ, wird man hier rundum gut versorgt und beraten. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen!
