Day Title Description
1. DAY 1 Day 1 - Welcome to Kochi, Transfer to Munnar Upon arrival at the Cochin international airport/railway station, start on your trip to Munnar through picture-perfect scenery and sprawling tea gardens. On the way, relish the sightseeing attractions such as Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara waterfalls. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax with an overnight stay at Munnar, ending day one of your 5 nights, 6 days Kerala tour package. Distance from Cochin to Munnar: 130 km Travel Time (Cochin to Munnar): Approx. 3.5 hours
2. DAY 2 Day 2 - Sightseeing tour of Munnar After breakfast, get ready to leave for a full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Pothamedu, the sweeping Mattupetty and Kundala Dam, Echo Point, Eravikulam National Park and Tea Museum along with enjoying a boating stint in the lake. Also, you can explore the local markets of Munnar for a little souvenir hunting. Later, return to the hotel for a lovely dinner and overnight stay.
3. DAY 3 Day 3 - Thekkady & Jungle Safari Get up early to enjoy the sunrise and tasty breakfast. Transfer to Thekkady. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy the scenic Periyar Lake, occasionally catching glimpses of rare varieties of birds and while enjoying a jungle safari in the Periyar National Park. Later, return to the hotel as the third day of your Kerala family trip itinerary ends with an overnight stay at Thekkady. 4. DAY 4 Day 4 - Thekkady to Alleppey & the houseboat stay After breakfast, check out from the hotel and embark on the journey towards your next destination- Alleppey. Upon arrival, check into a houseboat, which is probably the most awaited part of your Kerala Tour package. Have a delicious lunch on the houseboat itself and relax as it silently glides across the backwaters of Alleppey. Enjoy an overnight stay at the houseboat itself. Distance from Thekkady to Alleppey: 140 km Travel Time (Thekkady to Alleppey): Approx. 4 hours
5. DAY 5 Day 5 - Head back to Kochi The fifth day of your holiday package in Kerala starts with a piping-hot breakfast in the houseboat. When the houseboat docks, disembark and transfer to Cochin via the beautiful serpentine roads. Upon arrival at Cochin, check into the hotel and relax for a little bit. You can visit Marine Drive for a quick stroll. You can also visit the Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church and Dutch Palace. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel. Distance from Alleppey to Cochin: 53 km Travel Time (Alleppey to Cochin): Approx. 1.5 hours
6. DAY 6 Day 6 - Departure Have your fill of a delicious breakfast and then proceed to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey back home as your Kerala holiday package for family draws to an end
