Itinerary
Day Title Description
1. Day 1 The journey begins from Thiruvananthapuram by Vande Bharat train departing at 5:15 AM and arriving at Kannur Railway Station at 12:05 PM. Guests will then proceed to Green Planet Resort, Mattannur for check-in and relaxation. Later, visits will be arranged to Peralassery Temple, Thalassery Temple, Thiruvangad Sree Ramaswamy Temple, and Jagannath Temple before returning to the resort for an overnight stay.
2. Day 2 Early morning darshan will begin at Mridanga Shaileswari Temple followed by visits to Kumaradhara and Pinarayi Kav temples before proceeding to Kottiyoor. The day is dedicated to detailed darshan at both Akkare Kottiyoor and Ikkare Kottiyoor. Pilgrims will also witness the sacred ceremonial ritual where devotees withdraw from the Thiruvathira area as part of the temple customs and traditions.
3. Day 3 The day starts with darshan at Mattannur Mahadeva Temple, the regional deity temple of Mattannur. The group will then proceed to Mamanam Bhagavathy Temple, considered one among the special 18 sacred kavus. After worship there, visits continue to the historically significant Kottayam Thrikkakkunnu Temple associated with the Pazhassi royal lineage, followed by darshan at Thrikkapaleeswaram Temple, one among the 108 Shiva temples.
4. Day 4 After breakfast, the journey continues to Parassinikadavu followed by visits to Madayi Kavu, Cherukunnu Annapoorneshwari Temple, Thrichambaram Sree Krishna Temple, and Kadirur Vaidyanatha Temple. Darshan will be conducted as per temple timings and traditions. The group returns to Taliparamba by night. Special night darshan opportunities are available at certain temples on this day.
5. Day 5 The final day includes travel towards Thirunelli and Thrissileri temples in Wayanad. Pilgrims will have facilities to perform ancestral rituals (Bali Tharpanam) during the visit. The scenic hill journey through winding hairpin roads offers a spiritually enriching experience. After completing the rituals and darshan, the group proceeds to Kozhikode Railway Station for the return journey.
Inclusions
The package includes 4 nights accommodation at Green Planet Resort, Mattannur on a sharing basis with pure vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mineral water will be provided throughout the yatra. Transportation includes private Volvo coach transfers from Kannur arrival to Kozhikode departure. The journey is supported by experienced staff and accompanied by Mochitha, the spiritual guide from Mochitha’s Moksha.
Exclusions
Train or flight tickets to and from the destination are not included. Personal expenses such as laundry, shopping, beverages, tips, and phone calls are excluded. Charges for single occupancy rooms, extra vehicle usage, additional hotel stays, sightseeing outside the itinerary, emergency evacuation, and any costs arising from unforeseen situations such as weather disruptions, strikes, illness, or itinerary changes are also excluded.
