Coimbatore – Pollachi – Sholayar – Aliyar Haipins – Valpparai – Malakkaparai – Atirappally |
After pick up From Coimbatore Airport. After breakfast proceed to Athirappally.
The Pollachi–Athirappilly route is one of South India’s most scenic drives,
taking you through lush forests, waterfalls, and charming countryside.
➢ Visit Aliyar Dam (great for boating and photography).
➢ Proceed uphill through Monkey Falls and Loam’s View Point — both
worth short stops.
➢ Reach Valparai, a peaceful hill station surrounded by tea estates.
➢ Sholayar Dam (Upper Sholayar).
➢ Drive through Vazhachal Forest Reserve (requires forest check post
entry).
➢ This stretch is incredibly scenic — full of dense forest, streams, and
wildlife.
➢ Stop at Malakkappara tea estate (border between Tamil Nadu & Kerala).
➢ Reach Athirappilly, famous for its Athirappilly Waterfalls (the "Niagara of
South India").
➢ Also visit Vazhachal Waterfalls, just 5 km away.
➢ Enjoy the sunset view at Athirappilly Falls.
➢ Overnight stay near the waterfalls

Athirappilly – Kalady – Kochi |
After Break fast
➢ Visit Charpa Falls and Thumboormuzhi Dam & Butterfly Garden.
➢ Adi Shankara Keerthi Sthambham
➢ Sringeri Mutt and Crocodile Ghat
➢ Fort Kochi – Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz
Basilica
➢ Mattancherry Palace & Jewish Synagogue
➢ Marine Drive – for sunset views and shopping |

Cochin – Alleppey |
After Breakfast
Morning: Depart Kochi (you’ll drive from Kochi to the boarding point near
Alleppey).
➢ Around midday (approx 12:30) board the houseboat. Cruise through
canals, paddy fields, coconut groves of the Alleppey backwaters. Lunch
served on board.
➢ Late afternoon / evening: Anchor the boat for the night at a calmer
backwater spot, enjoy the sunset, dinner onboard.
➢ Next morning: After breakfast, cruise a bit more, then disembark around
mid-morning |
