Greetings from Lockhart Farm Tourism.............Munnar.

Harrisons Malayalam Limited is part of RPSG Group Companies and it is the second largest producer of Tea in South India. We are the industrial leader in natural Rubber production in India having Rubber Estates located in prime Rubber growing areas of Kerala.

One of our Tea Estate called Lockhart is just 8 km from Munnar town(Kerala, India) on the way to Thekkady. We have a hundred year old heritage Tea Factory functioning on the Estate which manufacturers Orthodox tea in the traditional manner. Lockhart Estate is the first plantation in Munnar started by the pioneer Mr.Baron von Rosenburg during 1879.

As requested by DTPC (District Tourism Promotion Council), we converted our Tea Estate into as Farm Tourism and we allow tourists from 22-01-2014 to visit our Farm to see on their own the manufacturing process along with a talk on the brief history of tea plantations, explaining the benefits of tea for good health and the tea making process.we display old photographs, tools and machineries used by the past generations of Munnar, surrounding area and the plantation itself.

These are our Activities are available, which can had from 2 hour to 2 days.

- Lockhart Tea Museum Visit - 2 Hours
- Tea Tasting - 1 Hour
- Tea Trail - Half Day (Detail Attached)
- Make Your Own Tea - Full Day (Details attached)
- Farm Stay - Over night Stay
- Cycling - According to fitness

Currently we have about 300 visitors coming to Lockhart Farm Tourism on daily basis.
