Information on Munnar Gap Road

I have planned a trip to Munnar on my personal car but I recently came to know that the gap road connecting Munnar Town and Chinnakanal is closed for maintenance between 8 AM to 6 PM. I wanted to check if the work is complete and there is free vehicular movement in this section or is it still ongoing. What are the alternative routes in case it is closed. What would be the status around 15th June, 2018.

The Gap road is closed morning to evening. It is better to take the alternate route . Poopara - Rajakkad - Bisonvalley - Munnar Town.
