Kuzhuppilly Floating Bridge is a coastal tourism attraction at Kuzhuppilly Located on Vypin Beach in Ernakulam district, this experience is quite different from glass bridges. It is a floating bridge set directly on the surface of the sea, allowing visitors to walk above the moving waves. The experience is not defined by height or transparency, but by motion—the gentle rise and fall of the bridge as waves pass underneath.
The bridge measures about 100 metres in length and 3 metres in width. It is made of high-density polyethylene floating blocks, which are firmly anchored to the seabed. It was designed as one of the coastal tourism projects involving Kerala Tourism and local authorities. The feeling of coming over the bridge of water, along with the view of the open sea, makes it a great experience, contrasting with the visits to a regular beach.
The floating bridge is on Kuzhuppilly Beach, which is near Vypin Island. The place is reachable by cars and local transport and people generally visit the site along with other local coastal attractions.
