Paragliding in Kerala offers a different way to experience “God’s Own Country,” not from the backwaters or beaches, but from high above in the skies over the Western Ghats. As you lift off from the hillside, the landscape opens out below—hills, forests, and valleys stretching into the distance—bringing with it a quiet surge of height and movement.
The activity is primarily centred around hill stations that provide favourable wind conditions, open take-off areas, and licensed operators. Most experiences are conducted as tandem flights with trained pilots, making it accessible even for first-time participants. The main season generally runs from October to March, when the weather is clearer, and wind conditions are more stable.
