Southern Naval Command Headquarters

The Southern Naval Command Headquarters is located in Willington Islands.  The Naval Base occupies a major portion of the land in the island.

It was with the opening of a major unit of the Indian Navy in the 1930s that the men in white made their presence felt here. The Navy also conducts various training programmes at the island and at the port.
