Vagamon in the Idukki district is the top paragliding destination in Kerala. Its gently rolling meadows, pleasant weather, and grassy slopes that are naturally ideal for takeoff and landing have made it very popular. Being an up-and-coming international paragliding location, it is also home to paragliding festivals and adventure carnivals, which are attended by the pilots from India and foreign countries.

Vagamon is a hill station in Idukki district, located along the Kottayam–Idukki border at an altitude of around 1,100 metres above sea level. The area is accessible by road from both Kottayam and Idukki, with well-connected routes leading up to the hill ranges where paragliding activities are conducted.

It is typically suitable for participants aged 14 and above, provided they have normal levels of fitness.
Tandem paragliding is the most common format here, with a trained pilot controlling the glider throughout the flight. The activity is generally rated as easy to moderate, requiring only a short run during take-off and landing
The best time for a flight is from October to March, and the months from December to February are the most recommended. There are no flights in inclement weather, heavy rain, or strong winds.
A tandem paragliding flight typically costs between ₹3,000 and ₹4,500 per person. In some cases, photos and videos are not included in the base price and may be charged separately.
It is typical for flights to be held between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with the exact time being determined by the wind and weather conditions.
