The northern regions of Kerala are renowned for its vibrant cultural festivals. 

Some of the most popular ones are:
Thrissur Pooram: One of the most famous festivals in Kerala, Thrissur Pooram is celebrated in Thrissur. It features a grand procession of caparisoned elephants, traditional music and colourful fireworks.

Arattupuzha Pooram: It is the oldest pooram festival held at the Sri Sastha Temple in Arattupuzha, a suburb of Thrissur. This vibrant festival is characterized by its colourful processions, intricate rituals and cultural performances.

Nenmara Vallangi Vela: It is a renowned temple festival celebrated at the Nellikulangara Bhagavathy temple in Nenmara, a village in Palakkad district, Kerala. This unique festival is characterized by its vibrant processions, intricate rituals and cultural performances.

Theyyam and Perumkaliyattam Festival: In various temples in Kannur and Kasaragod districts of Kerala. Here Theyyam performances are celebrated on a grand scale.

Kottiyoor Vaishaka Mahotsavam: Festival occurs in the lap of a picturesque forest patch during the Monsoon season (May-June) at Kottiyoor Shiva Temple, Kannur.
