High Range Club in Idukki

Preserving the past requires a certain amount of tenacity and respect, and the High Range Club, in Munnar keeps the early 20th century vibe of Munnar alive to this day. Originally an elite planters club that began in 1905, travellers can find accommodation here to experience the visuals and lifestyle of those who once played an integral role in the transformation of Munnar into a plantation site. As a rule, the club admits only corporate planters of Munnar as members.

Formed after a loan from Tata Tea,the Club's first member of Indian origin was the Dewan of Travancore itself, in 1934. Along with four deluxe cottages, there are five cosy period double rooms in the main building, along with a main lounge that is perfect for business meetings. The 6 acre campus has a plethora of sections that appease people of all age groups. It has its own 9-hole golf course, along with facilities for billiards, tennis, squash and table tennis. There's also a beautiful children's park for the younger ones to have fun in. It has a library with a great collection of fiction and periodicals, along with a dining room where one can experience a variety of dishes in a classic ambience enhanced by period furniture.
