Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels and Resorts launched two new tour packages to destinations viz. Neyyar Dam and Varkala in Thiruvananthapuram district. These new tour packages from KTDC to Neyyar and Varkala are besides the four existing daily trips to Kanyakumari, Ponmudi, Kovalam and Thiruvananthapuram city tour.
Starting at 7.45 in the morning from KTDC's Chaithram Hotel at Thampanoor, the Neyyar dam package will cover picnic spots like Neyyar Dam, Lion Safari Park and Kottur Elephant Rehabilitation Centre. A one-hour boat trip in the reservoir lake at Neyyar Dam is also included in the programmme. The tour to Varkala begins at 2 in the afternoon from Thampanoor and will cover Pothencode Santhigiri Ashram, Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala Janardhana Swamy Temple and the Papanasam beach.
