Nishagandhi Dance Festival Kick-Starts with Great Fervour

The Nishagandhi Dance Festival 2017, a week long dance extravaganza, was inaugurated by Shri. Justice (Retd.) P. Sathasivam, Hon'ble Governor of Kerala, at the Kanakakunnu Palace grounds on Friday.

Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, presided over the function. Dr. V. Venu, Principal Secretary, Kerala Tourism, Mr. V. K. Prasanth, Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram, Mr. M. Raghudasan, Additional Director, Kerala Tourism, spoke.

Renowned dancers will perform and enthrall the audiences in the following days. As part of the festival, Kathakali and Kuttiyattam Fest will be conducted at the Palace Auditorium. The event is scheduled to end on 26 January.
