Kerala Tourism Signs MoU with SilkAir to Boost Tourism

In a bid to boost tourism, Kerala Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SilkAir. The MoU signed in the presence of Mr. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Kerala, envisages promoting tourism in the state in priority markets like Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan and Singapore by conducting roadshows and other marketing programs. 

“We have been looking for more opportunities to share and promote the legacy of the state across the global markets and this agreement with SilkAir will benefit Kerala Tourism in attracting more tourists with the help of its wide network and reputation as a quality service provider,” said Mr. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Kerala.

“This MoU with SilkAir enables Kerala Tourism to strategically attract more travellers from the specific markets to the state. SilkAir offers high-quality service and we look forward to welcoming their passengers with impressive hospitality,” said Mr. P. Bala Kiran, Director, Kerala Tourism. 

Effective for a period of one year from April 26, 2017, the MoU covers a series of joint activities including brand advertising and promotional campaigns, tactical and digital marketing, familiarisation trips, trade fairs, roadshows and product development. 

“We are delighted to be associated with Kerala Tourism and we look forward to working together on many exciting activities to promote 'God's Own Country' as an attractive tourist destination to the world. Together with our parent company, Singapore Airlines, we reach out to over 100 destinations around the world and we’re confident that our wide network will help in bringing more visitors to the state,” said Mr. Jagdish Bhojwani, General Manager India, SilkAir.
