Kochi is set to make history this August as the host of India’s first Wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Conclave, a high-profile event designed to elevate Kerala’s profile in the rapidly expanding wedding and business events market. Scheduled from August 14 to 16 at the Grand Hyatt on Bolgatty Island, the conclave will bring together more than 400 registered buyers and 65 sellers representing leading names in the wedding and MICE sectors.

Announcing the event at a press conference, Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister, Kerala Tourism, said the conclave is part of Kerala’s vision to harness its unique natural and cultural assets and transform the state into a global destination for both weddings and corporate gatherings. The event will serve as a dedicated B2B networking platform, supporting the integrated development of Kerala’s tourism sector.

Participants will include wedding planners, corporate event organizers, luxury resorts, convention centre operators, and an array of service providers from floral design to catering and bridal services. In addition to business meetings and seminars with international experts, the conclave will feature exhibitions and workshops focused on innovative marketing strategies, logistics, and the use of technology in event management. Training camps are also planned, developed in collaboration with major MICE and wedding companies.

Delegates will have the opportunity to tour Kerala’s most attractive sites for destination weddings and conferences, including Kochi, Munnar, Kumarakom, Kollam, Kovalam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Bekal. The showcase will highlight Kerala’s diverse landscape of beaches, backwaters, and hill stations, alongside its cultural heritage, architecture, and renowned cuisine.

With a full schedule of business meetings from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on August 15 and 16, and a line-up of expert-led sessions, the Wedding and MICE Conclave is set to offer an immersive platform for businesses to collaborate and explore Kerala’s immense potential as a world-class event destination.
