Kaali Theeyattu is a temple ritual that is performed to seek the blessings and to praise the valiant deeds and might of Goddess Bhagavathy. The ritual centers around a Kalam or a drawing of the Goddess? image on the ground using specially made powders of varying colours. This usually takes various forms of Goddess Bhagavathy like Bhadra Kaali, Chamundi etc.
